MLK DAY Of Service

MONDAY, JANUARY 16TH, 2023

Thank you for participating in the 2023 MLKDay of Service and Learning. The day included MHH365's traditional hands-on and self-led volunteer service projects at three locations and we continued our new tradition of a MLK Day Community Walk. Over 300 people braved the elements to join us this year

Individuals and groups signed up to lend a helping hand by leading a food, clothing or book drive.  Thank you for stepping up!

Food drives were collected for one of 14 pantries in Cambridge, Somerville, Chelsea and other communities.

Volunteers collected clothing and books that were donated to local nonprofits and More Than Words.

Thank you for gathering with your group to do a hands on service project on MLK Day and during MLK Week. You made blankets and scarves for homeless children, teens and adults in Cambridge and Somerville or Valentines for elders and homeless adults in Cambridge and Somerville.

Thank you for joining the zoom conversations about important issues that hopefully left you thinking about how you can continue to learn about the most critical needs of our community. What would Rev. Martin Luther King think about these topics if he were here today? How can you play a role in supporting the community leaders taking action to address inequities?
