WHAT TO BRING TO MLK DAY (JANUARY 15)

DON'T COME EMPTY HANDED TO THE MLK DAY OF SERVICE AND LEARNING ON JANUARY 15TH.

According to the Boston Food bank’s annual statewide report, the number of people in Massachusetts that are experiencing food insecurity is growing. This includes our neighbors right here in Cambridge. Donating isn’t just about cleaning out your pantry or your closet. Shelters work season to season (storage is a real issue) and winter months are the most challenging. The best donations are given with the recipients in mind. What do people who are experiencing food insecurity or are unhoused really need?

Organizations, food pantries and area community centers would like you to know their “wish list” for donations to bring when volunteering on MLK DAY.
