WHO WE ARE

Cambridge Neighbors is a leader in the national Village movement, also known as “aging-in-place.” As a nonprofit, membership organization, we provide a range of practical services, social and educational opportunities, and resources to enhance quality of life and well being throughout the aging process. Our goal is to help members remain connected to and valued in our communities.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Office Volunteers: Provide office, member, and special project support in a friendly, small office in Fresh Pond, Cambridge. Requirements: Pleasant personality, ability to easily talk over the phone, and familiarity with computers. Hours: Three to four hours a week.Drivers: Drive members to appointments. Flexible to fit your schedule.Requirements: Must have a good driving record.Hours: Once a week, once a month, or intermittently.Handypeople: If you can perform minor household repairs, tasks (may be as simple as changing a lightbulb for someone who is unable!), we need you!Hours: According to your availabilityComputer Consultant: Provide help with our computers when they are misbehaving.Hours: OccasionalAssistant Program Manager: : Assists Manager of Member Services with identifying, scheduling, and coordinating of programs, events, and seminars for Cambridge Neighbors’ members. A fun job for someone who loves the local culture and connecting people to it.Hours: 5-8 hours a week, flexible.
