“Ask Me Anything” About Being Zero Waste

According to the EPA, the average American person will produce about 5.91 pounds of trash, with about 1.51 pounds being recycled; 4.40 pounds is the rough average daily waste per person.

That’s a lot of garbage!

It’s time for all of us to reduce our own personal output. What would it take for you to get closer to zero?

Join us for a fun and freewheeling Ask Me Anything with a group of dedicated Cambridge Zero Wasters who are passionate about reducing their impact.  They’ll share the philosophy of Zero Wasting along with their best tips and ideas for making change—from avoiding “greenwashing” to greener toothbrushing to how to shop greener in the grocery store.

You’ll come away with lots of tips on reducing, reusing, and recycling like a ninja all while reducing your own contribution to plastic pollution and the giant garbage stream.

You’ll have to join us on Instagram or Facebook to participate live—be sure to follow @cleenland.

PLEASE send questions in advance to put to this inspiring team of waste masters—message us at @MHH365 on Instagram. Or email your questions to us here.

In the meantime, we encourage you to join the Zero Waste Cambridge Facebook group, or if you don’t live in Cambridge, find your local chapter.
