We are collecting children’s books for three great local non-profits, and books of many kinds for More Than Words, a wonderful nonprofit social enterprise that empowers youth who are in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.
Leading a book drive helps nonprofits and families in need help build home libraries—especially for children.
Reading is one of life’s great pleasures! Reading can help reduce stress for families and children. Books offer opportunities to improve focus and concentration, knowledge, memory, and writing skills; expand vocabulary; and strengthen analytical thinking skills.
Sign up using the button below and we’ll send you an email with more details—including where to pick up 25 reusable bags and 25 letters.
If you or your group would like to collect more than 25 bags of books that is awesome! Just let us know! We will have ready 25 bag bundles.
We can give you 25 copies or you can print them! Please staple to the bag and distribute about a week before MLK Day. Be sure to write in the name of the organization you are supporting.
Ask people to bring the books to your house at a time of your choosing, but no later than MLK Day (Jan 17, 2022)
Deliver the books to your assigned nonprofit.
If you did not receive an assignment, please email us and we’ll get you sorted.
Since we’re not together this year and can’t see all the ways our community is lending a hand, please document!
Please take photos of 1) distributing bags, 2) picking up bags, 3) bring bags to the pantry and email us so we can share our collective work! Tag us on Instagram at @MHH365 or share with us on Facebook. Thanks.
We are here to help! Please email us a hello@manyhelpinghands365.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
