A program of the Cambridge Department of Public Works, Cambridge in Bloom has extensive landscape and urban forestry programs that depend on many volunteers—adults, children and teens, individuals, families, schools, neighborhood groups and companies.
How To Volunteer
Be a Tree Keeper and help care for newly planted trees. Junior Foresters (ages 5-13) can adopt a tree or trees in their neighborhood and help them get established by watering, weeding and mulching them.
Or organize a neighborhood Planting Day and plant and maintain a new bed of public plants and flowers. You can organize a Community Service Day with neighbors, friends, families or employees or co-workers and plant bulbs or flowers or clean up a local park or natural area.
