How to Help Victims of Typhoon Haiyan

Scenes from the devastation in the Philippines from Typhoon Haiyan have affected all of us. At least 3,600 people have been killed, and the United Nations is estimating that more than 2 million people have been left homeless.  In one city of 200,000, no buildings appear to have survived the storm intact. While aid is now flowing in from around the world, getting it to people remains a challenge.

How To Help

We know that many Cambridge families are looking for ways to support the storm victims. Mercy Corps, which has an office here in Cambridge, is preparing to deliver food, water, temporary shelter and other basic supplies . You can offer support by donating through their websitePayPal or by calling 1-888-747-7440.
