WE ARE MANY HELPING HANDS 365

COMMUNITY SERVICE

We organize the Cambridge MLK Day of Service and other service events to encourage civic engagement and community service to help build an equitable and just Cambridge community.

SPECIAL EVENTS

We work with local partners to create and promote special events—from gun buy-back days to flash mobs and workshops. Come partner with us and let’s work together!

RACIAL JUSTICE

We help organize a wide range of racial justice resources and events in partnership with others to bring people together to fight racism and increase  equity.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

We help register people to vote and support citizen engagement. We partner with others for postcard writing efforts and with Activist Afternoons. Learn more.

SO MANY WAYS TO MAKE AN IMPACT

Hundreds of area nonprofit organizations could use your helping hands
for a hour, a day, or a couple of times a week.

Find your way to make a difference, share kindness,
and spread a message of hope and love.

Cambridge MLK DAY OF SERVICE

The next Cambridge MLK Day of Service will be held from on Monday, January 20, 2025 (2:00 pm-5:00 pm). As many of you know, we organize one of the largest single-day service events in New England. We’re proud to have become a Cambridge tradition.

Details will be coming soon, but you can expect many of our beloved service projects, as well as opportunities to reflect on Rev. King’s message of racial justice, equality, and love.

Stay tuned for details. Sign up for our emails, and we’ll send you a notice when we have more to share.

Thank you for lending your helping hands! We look forward to seeing you soon!

"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve.  You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve.  You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love."
